What is DTG Printing?
DTG Printing is a technique that allows for high-quality, full-color prints to be directly applied to garments using specialized inkjet technology. Unlike traditional printing methods, DTG Printing eliminates the need for screens or transfers, resulting in a seamless, professional finish every time.
How Does DTG Printing Work?
- Preparation: The garment is carefully pre-treated to ensure optimal ink absorption and adhesion.
- Printing: The garment is placed onto a flat surface (platen) and fed into the DTG printer. Using advanced inkjet technology, the design is digitally printed onto the fabric with precision and detail.
- Curing: Once the printing is complete, the garment is cured using heat to permanently set the ink, ensuring long-lasting durability and colour vibrancy.

DTG printing produces best print results on custom t-shirts and garments with 100% cotton content. Using DTG printing for items with a high polyester content is not currently possible.

DTG Pricing Details
The table above gives you a guide to DTG printing costs by quantity and print size. A few other details can affect your final quote, including setup, garment suitability, fabric content, print placement, turnaround time and whether you need your order rushed. These will always be confirmed before production begins.
SET UP FEE
$65 setup fee applies to DTG Printing orders and excludes GST.
SAME-DAY PRINTING
Subject to availability, we offer same-day DTG printing.
Same-day fee (excluding GST): 30%.
RUSH ORDER PRINTING
Subject to availability. For DTG, rush orders may be available.
Rush Fees (excluding GST)
2 business days: 30%
3-5 business days: 20%
TURN AROUND
Standard DTG printing turnaround is approximately 2 weeks once your quote is approved, payment is confirmed and artwork is ready for production.
